3D GIS and Fuzzy Logic

Adena at the All Points Blog writes about Google Earth Enterprise now being available in 2D via a browser. Which brings me again to one of my favorite subjects -- will 3D GIS ever become a reality necessity?

For my money, reliable, accurate, powerful 2D GIS trumps 3D cartoonish animation anytime. Throw in some fuzzy logic functionality (anybody listening?) and you have a customer for life.
