Comparison of the Old and New NJ Municipal Boundaries
John Reiser makes it very easy for the GIS newbie and expert alike to compare the recently released New Jersey municipal boundaries to the "old" ones. You need no GIS software and very little to no GIS expertise. Just go over to his blog, grab the KML file he created, and open it in the free Google Earth application.
This is more than an exercise in GIS data review. It is, in my opinion, a very sound and significant proof of concept of how GIS data can (and very likely will) be distributed to GIS end users in the very near future.
