LAPD Online Crime Map "Fixed", Still Broken
The All Points Blog alerts us to the latest developments in the LAPD Online Crime Map saga. Some crimes were initially placed in the wrong location; now they are missing from the map altogether. The omissions were caused by a programming error.
From today's Los Angeles Times article:
"The lapses mean that the map, touted by city leaders as an important and innovative resource for city residents to determine whether their neighborhoods are safe, presents a drastically incomplete image of city crime."

C'mon, the map's not important. Anyone that wants to know about crimes in the city are going to read that list anyway, right?
Sarcasm?
I knew I forgot something.
