Google is hiring! Tons of geo positions open..
This post's title is a tweet by Googler Mike Pegg (@Mpegg), retweeted by Googler ManoMarks (@ManoMarks). Mike also steered interested candidates to the Where 2.0 Career Zone. (OH: "I think next year O'Reilly should morph the name from Where2.0 to Where2 Locate Money.").
Unless this is an April Fools', Google is mounting a serious GIS offensive. Nothing wrong with that, in my opinion.
Figuratively speaking, Google has introduced the four-door sedan to a market dominated by 18-wheelers. Until recently, if someone wanted to go to 7-Eleven for a gallon of milk, they had to take an 18-wheeler (if they had one), or walk, or else put water in their cereal. Google offers a solution for those who can’t afford (or don’t want to invest in) an 18-wheeler, don’t want to walk, yet want milk in their cereal.
