GeoJason (get it?) -- Moving from ArcGIS Server to Google Maps API


Jason Sanford (a.k.a. GeoJason) has put together a wonderful Google Maps API implementation for Union County, North Carolina. He writes about it on his blog.

Says Jason:

"Why? Do I have anything against an ArcGIS Server solution? Not at all. ArcGIS Server still takes up a lot of room in my tool chest. I just wanted to freshen up the look and feel of a stale application and take a deep dive into the ever-changing API v3."

What a great way to deliver what 80% of users need for a fraction of the cost of an ArcGIS Server implementation.
